Mechanical Engineer Inventor
for Powder Processing Equipment & Systems.
Here at Gericke BV (Hoevelaken, The Netherlands), we’re looking within short notice for a Mechanical Engineer to supplement the nice and close-knit engineering team. The company is part of the internationally operating group, which has been involved in the design, manufacture, construction and commissioning of industrial processing equipment and total turn-key systems for over 125 years. Its installations can be found in many sectors, such as the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries. The Hoevelaken office employs +/- 25 people and the group companies worldwide employ over 300 people.
What would your duties include
The interesting challenge in this vacancy (Mechanical Engineer Inventor), you’re involved as an all-round mechanical engineer, from the scope, customer specifications (sometimes also determined in consultation on site at customer-factory location) to a vision of in-house assembly or prefabrication. You will make a significant contribution to the engineering of mechanical apparatus engineering for dry process plants. Together with the lead engineer, you elaborate from specifications the first sketch of the project to full 3D technical elaboration and production-ready installation and equipment, with which the manufacturing can be achieved and installed at the client's site. You will also visit our new assembly hall, where you will see your own engineering work in reality and make adjustments if necessary. You develop constructions based on a concept with an eye for quality, costs, manufacturability, safety and lead time. Engineering tasks include working out concepts in Inventor 3D, engineering & constructing up to detailed drawings and parts lists. Developing and further improving existing systems and equipment. You will work within the project team with other mechanical engineers and the process and project engineers.
What will you bring?
To be able to perform this Mechanical Engineer Inventor position well, you have:
- A completed HBO education in the direction of mechanical engineering or electrical engineering.
- At least one year of relevant machine-device engineering or construction work experience.
- As a background you could also come from the general process, oil & gas industry or offshore related installations.
- You have good knowledge and experience with 3D Autodesk Inventor or a similar drawing package.
- You are a team player and get excited by varied engineering tasks.
- Dutch language proficiency and English, German is an advantage.
