Job Summary
As a Service & Field Engineer at Gericke Netherlands, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of our machinery and systems. You will work closely with our customers to provide technical support, conduct troubleshooting, and implement preventive maintenance measures. You may also be required to install and commission projects in various locations.
Key Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repair
- Perform scheduled maintenance on Gericke equipment to ensure reliable operation.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and control issues in a timely manner.
- Repair and replace faulty components to restore equipment functionality.
Customer Support
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers regarding equipment operation, maintenance and optimisation.
- Respond promptly to customer service calls and resolve issues efficiently.
- Conduct training sessions for customers on proper equipment use and maintenance practices.
- Build relationships with customers by maintain regular contact.
Preventive Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspections and testing to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.
Installation and Commissioning
- Install and commission Gericke equipment at customer sites.
- Ensure all systems are installed according to specifications and industry standards.
- Conduct functional and performance tests to verify proper installation.
Qualifications
Education
- MBO level 4 in Engineering.
- Relevant certifications or training in industrial machinery maintenance is a plus.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in the maintenance and repair of industrial equipment.
- Experience in the food, chemical, or pharmaceutical industries is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Sufficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and control systems.
Soft Skills
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel, including internationally.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English; additional languages are a plus, especially German.
- Ability to work flexible hours and respond to emergency service requests.
