Installation and commissioning are essential activities during a project execution phase. These tasks not only determine the design and look and feel of the system, but also influence the timely start up and production handover. During all activities, safety aspects have to be strictly planned and followed by the onsite teams to avoid any accidents or damage. Gericke has established standard operation workflows and is proud to have a large pool of very experienced site engineers.

“Safety first” is our credo during the installation phase. A thorough planning of the site work limits and coordinates the lifting and moving of equipment and use of manpower. This is also a time saving measure and ensures right first-time installation and wiring. Gericke reduces installation time by using standardised equipment solutions and premanufactured skids where appropriate.
During system commissioning, the Service Team takes the lead at the construction site. Construction and assembly supervision, control of the assembly team, coordination of the logistics and enforcement of safety at the construction site are core tasks.
While the system is being commissioned, the test runs of the individual components and the controller are performed, initially as a sequential test of the automation, then with the product, and finally as a complete process.
